At SEA we take the arts seriously.  We know the value of the curriculum for Art and designed the program to meet not only the Sunshine State Standards but also the National Art Standards.  The National Standards include:-

• connecting Art to cultures and historical context

•  evaluating how the arts convey meaning

• interpreting and sharing artwork

•  generating new ideas and art 

 

We accomplish all of this and more while we are experimenting, expressing ourselves, developing our gross and fine motor skills, using our critical thinking skills, and  learning how to safely use new materials and processes. 

 

Our Art curriculum is aligned to our other subject areas such as Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math.  It is woven into most aspects of student life making it both fun and appealing.
