Super Bowl Family Fun

Arguably the biggest game of the year is coming up in just a few weeks: Super Bowl Sunday! Whether you're planning to entertain a crowd or root for your favorite team as a family, munching on delectable treats is always an important part of game day.

And, just because your kid might not know what “third and ten” means or thinks “time-outs” are for those who misbehave, doesn’t mean they have to miss out on festivities. Bring in reinforcements while making your game day recipes!

SEA’s own Chef Jessica and the after school enrichment cooking class recently created a Super Bowl Meal Plan that was not only delicious, but also easy for smaller hands to create.

Add some “ready, set, hike!” to your finger foods on Super Bowl Sunday with this yummy American favorite. Here’s an easy recipe that your little one can help you with in the kitchen!

We used pre-cut phyllo dough, so it was super simple for their fingers to roll up the sausage in the dough. You could even gently carve "stitches" on the top of each football. The kids had a great time getting their hands messy and it was a breeze to clean up!

Chocolate Football Pretzel Rods

Broncos and Panthers fans alike agree that these chocolate pretzel rods are absolutely delicious. A little sweet, a little salty, and 100% fun! You can even change the color of the sprinkles to match your favorite team.

Chef Jessica also pointed out that these pretzel rods would be a perfect (and kid-friendly) idea for a Valentine’s Day gift for your teacher! Switch up the recipe a bit and try white chocolate with pink or red sprinkles. Yum!
