The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis

Christmas is a most magical time of year, full of preparation and expectation. We all get involved with the spirit of Christmas, we trim the tree, we play Christmas music, and we light the candles on the Advent wreath as we anxiously await the birth of Christ. At Sweetwater Episcopal Academy, we are also celebrating the season in our weekly Chapel and in our religion classes; where we focus on the spiritual preparation for Christmas. Outwardly, the class elves have made their first appearance, the first musical performance has already taken place and the other grades are busy rehearsing for their Christmas shows while parents are prepping for school parties and family gatherings.

There truly is no better time of year – the lights, the tree, the excitement and the energy is infectious. You cannot help but be excited! The holidays always bring out the best in us and others; it is a time for sharing, for love, for gratitude and a time of anticipation. We all know that great things are just around the corner; the birth of Jesus, the arrival of presents from Santa, the family gatherings, great food and happiness. Young or old, the holiday season is a time to reflect on all the good things in life. This season and always, our wish for all our families is Love, Joy & Christmas magic!
